Britney came to our family by way of fate.  I had purchased my first two Akitas in 1987 and 1988 respectively, from Sally Compton and Ingrid Linerud.  Both of these dogs were dreams to show as an owner handler, and made me fall in love with the breed.  After their passing's, I thought my broken heart could never open for another Akita.  I had added Shiba Inus to our household in 1993, and thought I would just concentrate on them.  When Sally first told me that she and Ingrid had co-bred Britney's litter, I had a twinge to consider a puppy.  But when my husband and I took a trip over to Spokane for Sally's wedding neither of us could resist the opportunity, after seeing the litter.  

Britney is the Akita I had ALWAYS dreamed of owning... a Black and White bitch!  We haven't had an Akita puppy since 1988 but "oops" we did it again!  And who knows what the future will bring!
